The Linders were married at the historic 1840’s Carrollton Inn. The reception was held in the 1840’s ballroom, which shares a courtyard with the Inn. The ceremony, as well as our formal photographs took place in the courtyard.

The Neuenschwanders contacted me to do some family portraits. They wanted something a little more creative than even most custom portrait photography.

The wedding day presented us with a host of unexpected challenges. The wedding took place in Washington, DC. The bride and groom got ready at the Melrose Hotel, and the ceremony took place at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church just one block away. However, what wasn’t expected was the torrential downpour that began during the ceremony.

Our plan to take formal photographs by the water outside of Sequoia’s Restaurant where the reception was held, was officially foiled. Unfortunately, our only option was the hotel restaurant. Although perhaps the photographs were not what they would’ve been had they been taken by the water, they came out excellent nonetheless.
