Questions about the Shoot

Where will the pictures be taken?

I do not work out of a studio. My studio comes with me. What that means for you is that your pictures will be taken in places where you are comfortable. You’ll be more relaxed, so your pictures will be better!

Can I get a second photographer?

Through me? Definitely. If your event or shoot is large enough or complicated enough, I will contact other photographers to help keep the stress off you. However, if you would like to hire another photographer independent of me, it’s important that you discuss that with me first. In some situations independent photographers can interfere with each other. That would jeopardize the quality of your photographs.

Do you need to know who, or how many people, will be in the pictures?

Yes. If you’re looking for portraits, the number of people being photographed will help me to more accurately estimate how long the shoot will take and what kind of equipment will be needed. If it’s for an event, having an idea of how many people will be there is also very helpful. It enables me to come prepared so you get the best pictures possible.

Do you do video or audio work?

At this time, I do not. However, I’d be happy to refer you to skilled people in both areas.

How far will you travel?

As far as you need me to go. I work primarily in the areas of Washington DC, Annapolis and Baltimore, so all travel within 35 miles of the zip code 21054 (a location roughly triangulated by the three cities) is included. For destinations beyond that, there will be a charge of $0.29 per mile. For shoots in other parts of the country, travel and accommodations will be charged to the client.

Questions about the Pictures

Negatives from private shoots may be purchased on specialized terms, in bulk, or in an a-la-cart fashion following the shoot. For commercial shoots, the distribution of digital negatives will be negotiated on a per-shoot basis.

How will you deliver my pictures?

Usually, prints and digital files are delivered by mail. However, if you have a high speed internet connection available, digital files may be downloaded in an online package at no extra charge.

When will you deliver my pictures?

What medium will my pictures come in?

Your proof images will be available via this website. Prints will be delivered via mail directly to you. Once purchased, digital negatives may be downloaded directly to your computer, or you may opt to have them shipped to you.
