William & Felipe had the pleasure of working with this couple on their wedding day at Linganore Wines in Frederick Maryland after nearly a decade of friendship. “It’s always extra special when we get to be there to capture these kinds of moments for someone we’ve known and loved for a long time”, William said.
The day of this couple’s wedding came around and it was dreary to say the least. It couldn’t have been a sharper contrast from the warm, bright wood grains inside the main hall. Tall windows bathing the room in natural light, and high, exposed ceilings created an open airiness at Linganore that could make one forget the low, colorless rainclouds threatening a downpour outside. Luckily they held off for the most part, clearing just long enough for some portraits with the couple around the landscape.
Being a December wedding, it was also quite cold, so the Bride wore a bright red shawl to keep off the chill. The color matched her lipstick perfectly, and brought some of the warmth from inside the hall to the desaturated greens and browns on the rolling hills around the vineyard. With no wedding party to speak of, William worked with the couple outside while the cocktail hour unfolded indoors. They kept portraits brief before returning to toasts and dances and the emotional fuzz that comes from good friends and once-in-a-lifetime events.
