Express Portrait sessions are designed for flexible families, individuals and couples who want a high quality and affordable portrait option, fast. In about thirty-five minutes, I'll create a mix of different kinds of images you can use for holiday cards, graduation party invitations, pregnancy announcements and more. Sessions are offered on select weekdays in Bowie, Crofton, and Annapolis Maryland, and high-resolution files are available in about a week.

Frequently Asked Questions about Express Portrait Sessions
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule for the next available weekday that works for everyone within a 7 day window.
Can we bring pets?
Yes, though not recommended for a short session like this. As long as they’re leashed, reasonably well-behaved, and you understand it may negatively impact the number and variety of images that are delivered, they can be included.
What should we wear?
Stick to solid colors when possible, avoid big logos and busy patterns. Try to coordinate without being too matchy — Think matching color pallets, rather than matching colors. Layers and accessories help keep things versatile.
How soon will we get the photos?
Typically within about a week, but it can take up to two during busy seasons.
Where will the session take place?
Outdoors at locations in Bowie, Crofton and Annapolis. A few good locations are provided as recommended options, but we can hold the session anywhere in these cities that we are legally allowed to shoot. Just choose one of the custom locations when booking and we’ll nail down the specifics after you’re booked. How many photos do we get?
You’ll get about 25–35 edited, high-resolution images, ready for printing or sharing online.
What if we have more than six people?
The Express format caps at six people. If you have more people you want to include, we’ll need to schedule a standard session.
Is this good for small kids?
It depends. Kids should be old enough to play along (or accept a bribe). For children under two, the Express format usually moves too fast to capture natural expressions, so a standard session is a better fit. That said, there are no hard limits. If you’re comfortable risking a dip in quality, quantity, and variety, you’re welcome to give it a try.
Do you offer retouching?
Basic retouching (like tonal consistency and minor non-permanent blemishes) is included. More extensive edits can be done on request for a fee.
What about cancellations?
Bookings are final. Cancellations within 24 hours of the session may forfeit the session fee. Rescheduling is flexible for most reasonable causes, but new appointments can only be booked within a rolling 14-day window — meaning you’ll need to choose from available weekday slots within fourteen days of whenever you’re rescheduling.
Can I use Express Portraits for headshots?
No, Express Personal Portraits do not have the necessary commercial license to use for headshots. For that, you’ll want an Express Headshot Session tailored for that purpose. It’s also a generally more economical approach.
