The Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens of Baltimore is a historic conservatory and botanical garden located in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland. Designed by George A. Frederick, the conservatory opened to the public on August 26, 1888, 28 years after the park itself. The conservatory has been renovated several times over the years, most recently in 2007, but has retained its historic charm and beauty.

The facility has five distinct greenhouse rooms, a 1/2-acre garden with many flower beds, and showcases year-round displays of plant material in five distinct areas: the 1888 Palm House, the Orchid Room, Mediterranean House, Tropical House, and Desert House. The Palm House is the largest area and features a variety of palm trees and other tropical plants. The Orchid Room has a collection of over 1,000 orchids, while the Mediterranean House has plants from the Mediterranean region. The Tropical House and the Desert House showcase plants from tropical and desert regions around the world.

The facility is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm, and admission is free for all general visitors. The conservatory also offers educational programs like lectures, workshops, and tours.

The Rawlings Conservatory is a popular spot for weddings and other special events. The botanical garden’s greenhouse rooms and outdoor garden areas provide ample space for guests. The abundance of flowers and plant life creates a stunning backdrop for photographs. The conservatory also provides an excellent location for those looking to host a special event or have a portrait session in a picturesque setting.
